Lil’ Chris, one of the stars of the U.K. reality series Rock School, has died. The singer, whose real name was Chris Hardman, was just 24.

Hardman’s death is being investigated by Suffolk Police, but they are not calling it suspicious, reports BBC News. A cause of death has not been reported, as the autopsy has not been completed yet.

Police were called to a home in Lowestoft at around 11:45 local time on Monday. They were told that a man suddenly died.

According to The Mirror, Hardman skyrocketed to fame when he was 15 thanks to his appearance in season two of Rock School on Channel 4. He got a deal with RCA and released the hit single “Checkin’ It Out” in September 2006.

Hardman also released a Christmas single in 2013 and was hoping record again in December. However, his opinion of the music industry to a turn earlier this month when he tweeted that he thought about leaving music forever.

“Thinking about quitting music forever...there has to come a time eventually when I have to face reality. I'm just not good enough,” he wrote on March 3.

The Mirror also notes that he had tweeted about suffering from depression, even tweeting, “Depression really sucks. Learning how to notice it can save lives and your own feelings at times. Take time to understand it, for everybody.”

His final tweet was sent on Wednesday.
