It took them a year, but former couple Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have finally sold their sprawling Los Angeles mansion.
The home went for $9 million and is located in the Bel Air neighborhood. According to Zillow, the buyer is a doctor moving from the East Coast with his wife.
“The house invites you inside. It’s very warm and has a lot of life and love in it,” Ardavan Mofid of Coldwell Banker, who represented the doctor, told Zillow. “And the view is unbelievable. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Laguna Beach.”
It’s a seven-bedroom, nine-bath estate with a double-gated entrance. Should the doctor decide to hold a big party, there is enough parking space for over 20 cars.
While Carey and Cannon should be happy that they are finally getting the mansion they shared off their hands, it’s actually another subject of contention between the couple. According to TMZ, Cannon claimed in a lawsuit that he was never included in the selling process. While he has no issue with the sale, Cannon complained that business manager Michael Kane only dealt with Carey’s people.
Cannon filed for divorce from Carey in December.
