What if Michael Bolton actually got to play Michael Bolton in Office Space? It would certainly have been a bit strange to see the singer insist that he’s not related to himself.

Still, Funny Or Die tried to answer that question, showing a “lost tape” of Bolton actually auditioning to play the role that David Herman ultimately wound up doing. The short shows Bolton reading the lines from the movie and he also gets to reenact the famous printer destruction scene.

The video has been seen over 92,000 time since it was posted on Funny Or Die. It’s certainly funny to hear Bolton call himself a “assclown.” However, he did tweak the line to call himself “extremely talented.”

Mike Judge’s Office Space is one of the most beloved cult comedies from the past 25 years and also starred Ron Livingston, Jennifer Aniston and Gary Cole.
