As classy and traditional of an actor as any today, to see Patrick Stewart—even briefly—off-his-rocker, drunken and drugged up is certainly a tasty proposition. Thankfully Starz's here to give audiences their first look at their newest comedy series Blunt Time.
Provided by Starz, this teaser lets TV watchers get to know Walter Blunt, a British import with a reckless love of cocaine and alcohol, who wishes to come into the American cable news game. Blunt Talk comes from Jonathan Ames, the creator of Bored to Death, and executive producer Seth MacFarlane.
Already picked up for two seasons, the 10-episode first season airs this summer. In addition to Stewart, Blunt Talk also stars Jackie Weaver, Dolly Wells, Adrian Scarborough and Timm Sharp.
Among all else, it's a lot of fun to see Stewart lose some of his proper grace to muck it up in a loose, off-the-walls character. This trailer is certainly entertaining, and hopefully the show itself lives up to its potential.
