Rashida Jones will be back on TV soon in Steve Carell’s police procedural spoof Angie Tribeca on TBS. Of course, with famous faces both in front of and behind the camera, they have been able to talk some pretty big celebrities into making cameos.
A trailer already revealed that Jones and her partner, played by Hayes MacArthur, run into Lisa Kudrow, Gary Cole and Alfred Molina. But that’s just the start.
Earlier this week, Entertainment Weekly reported that Bill Murray will make an appearance in just one episode as a store clerk who flirts with Angie (Jones). That follows Murray’s surprise appearance during Parks and Recreation’s final season last month.
Today, EW reported that Saturday Night Live’s Cecily Strong will appear as a country club socialite who is investigated for killing a lover. Key & Peele’s Keegan-Michael Key (who also appeared on Parks & Rec) was cast as a German businessman in a different episode. Adam Scott (who, yes, also did Park & Rec) will be a guest star, too.
Angie Tribeca will air this summer. It was created by Steve Carell and his wife, Nancy. SXSW is hosting a premiere event on Saturday, March 15.
