RHOA
Chocolate Does a Body Good

As Real Housewives of Atlanta viewers have awaited this episode, the time for tea and drama is here, chile!

Season 7’s 15th segment starts off with the star of this episode, Phaedra. We all know that drama is going to be surrounding her in this episode just as it has her life in the past few months as her husband, Apollo, is currently serving his 8 year sentence for fraud. In the episode’s opening, Phaedra is talking to her assistant about coming in to have someone bless her house. Leave it up to Phaedra to glorify her religion any chance that she can get. Gotta love her though.

Things become tense as Kandi asks Todd would he marry her all over again if he had the chance, to which he responds maybe ether should go to therapy. Things have suddenly seemed to be going south with their relationship, which is really sad.

We switch to “Team Pretty” sampling wine and cheese, Claudia Kenya and Cynthia. No surprise they take this opportunity to discuss Apollo’s rumored situation, claiming he was on the run and not surrendering for his sentence.

After the commercial we are reunited with the wine-sipping beauties and Cynthia is clearing up the situation about Apollo, claiming she has the “tea” on the situation. Cynthia goes on to detail Phaedra’s relationship with a man named “Chocolate.” Of course Phaedra’s infidelities were brought to light when Apollo went through her phone and found suspicious text messages.

No shocker when Kenya brings up her past seasons of abuse and false claims of wanting to sleep with a married man when Phaedra was cheating on her husband. Things are rather interesting now as several clips of Phaedra’s lying to her fellow cast mates are aired, with Cynthia proving she’s a liar. Kenya is working hard for an emmy with these crocodile tears, all upset that Phaedra has called her a “whore” for years. HOWEVER, it does make sense that she is upset when she explains it as Phaedra putting up a smoke wall to distract those around her form what she’s doing in her life.

And we flip back to Phaedra who is wearing the worst outfit ever in her interviews segments. While there’s so much drama around Phaedra this season, the most entertaining part of her storyline are her kids. Ayden is so fun to watch! The door bell rings and the blessers of the home are now here. Phaedra goes on saying she wants the bad spirits out of her house.

Honey, your husband committed a white-collar crime. He didn’t conduct seances and invite evil spirits into your home. Take it easy on the religion storyline, girl. Oh well, what ever makes her feel better.

Lots of concentration on Phaedra and Cynthia during the first half of the show. We’re back to Cynthia after the commercial break and she’s talking with her husband, honorary peach holder, Peter Thomas. Peter has the audacity to question Cynthia running and telling Kenya about Apollo when Peter runs to the nearest person that will listen anytime he has the scoop on someone. I.E., why he’s the honorary peach holder of RHOA.

Kandi is over visiting Phaedra, who claims her husband taking the pool table is a “blessing.” It’s kind of refreshing to see these two together, they don’t seem to film alone as much as they have in previous seasons. Kandi is basically pulling information about Apollo out of Phaedra. Phaedra gives in and begins detailing Apollo’s pre-prison debacle. When Kandi asks how she feels now, Phaedra says for the first time she feels like she doesn’t have to worry anymore.

What does that say about your relationship with you husband? He messed up. For better or for worse, right? I guess not!

Phaedra doesn’t understand why Nene’s being nice to her confuses Kandi. Ummm, probably because Nene used to claim she didn’t even know you, Phaedra and now she’s buddying up to you as your life is all in the tabloids. Convenient, huh?

It’s almost time for the restaurant scene!

We’re back and it’s time for dinner! Shockingly enough, Kandi is the 2nd of all the cast mates to show up. Anyone who watches this show knows that Kandi runs on Kandi time, which is never early. She says she’s hoping this dinner will be laid back so they can “kick it.” Yeah right, you’re on the housewives, darling.

Next, Kenya, Porsha and Demetria arrive and all seems to be cordial for now. Where is Nene this episode?

Porsha throws dirt at Kenya in her interview segment about flirting with the waiter. I believe waiter’s are more classy than sugar daddies, right, Porsha?

The self-proclaimed has arrived, Nene. Phaedra has finally showed up to dinner as well. Everything seems to be running smooth, Nene takes the opportunity to discuss her name being in lights. Everybody, listen to Nene toot her own horn. She will be upset if you don’t.

Phaedra’s entire demeanor instantly changes when Cynthia brings up Peter’s conversation with Apollo. She makes it so awkward that she basically has to say what she’s referring to. It seems that Phaedra knows what’s coming, like all of her skeletons are about to come out of the closet. Of course Nene takes the opportunity to say Cynthia looks like an idiot. Nene is obviously bothered that Cynthia isn’t following her around like a sick puppy dog anymore.

Kenya jumps in to get things straight to the point, because of course Phaedra is denying the accusations of dating anyone named “Chocolate.” AND HERE WE GO…

Kenya calls Phaedra out for having an affair, and Phaedra stands up and starts to hit Kenya with her purse. She stops herself and immediately storms out. Of course Nene follows and, Ms. desperate-for-a-full-time spot, Porsha, follows as well.

Phaedra’s immediate exit can be read as being the mature one. Or, more likely, it can be read that she’s getting out before anymore of her truths are revealed.

Now we’re outside with Porsha, Kandi, Nene and Phaedra. Nene is saying that women need to support each other. Funny, about 3 episodes ago she was mocking several of her cast mates publicly at dinner. But that’s okay, right Nene?

Kenya described this season as her “redemption” season when doing promo last year. It’s obvious, now, what she meant. That the person who accused her of all these terrible things for two years, is guilty of doing those same things herself. Shame on you, Mrs. Phaedra!

As the conversation outside continues, the rest of the cast member exit the restaurant and everyone is reunited outside. Nene continues to throw shade in her interview segments. It’s so funny, she literally can’t stop talking about Cynthia.

The episode ends with Nene dismissing everyone and Phaedra using Porsha’s borrowed Rolls Royce to escape as fast as she can. Phaedra honestly could have persuaded the viewers to believe that she was innocent. However, choosing to literally run from the conversation showed her guilt.

The drama continues next week…
