Following last week’s episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the ladies are back in sunny California. However, they didn’t leave the drama in Amsterdam. In true Housewives fashion the ladies are still going in circles over the situation between Kyle Richards and her sister, Kim. Also, don’t forget about how Brandi Glanville and Lisa Rinna are getting tied up in the situation as well. It’s getting dirty.
This episode does kicks off with the ladies last day in Holland as they are walking through a flower market. Kind of weird, but we won’t ask questions. Lisa Vanderpump runs into a friend of her adopted son, Max. The boy was 23 and cute, and that’s enough for Brandi Glanville. The young man even asked Ms. Glanville on a date and ended up spending the night with her. Yes. Brandi slept with the friend of her enemy’s son. Now if that isn’t complicated, we don’t know what is.
Now Brandi is talking to Kim about when she slapped Lisa Vanderpump. She calls it “play slapping.” Though some people, AKA the entire Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast, takes any opportunity to point a finger at Brandi. However, it was obvious she was playing around in her somewhat childish ways. Lisa honestly shouldn’t have got mad. Brandi was trying to be the way they used to be but Lisa can’t seem to let her negative feelings for Brandi go.
While Yolanda Foster is wearing wooden clogs in her native country, Brandi is buying flowers to give to Lisa Vanderpump as a peace offering. Mrs. Vanderpump always keeps it classy. Though she may not have actually accepted the apology she did not directly shut Brandi down. Brandi seems to think the two could get back to the way they used to be but Vanderpump is dead set on the fact that that is not happening.
Yolanda begs Lisa to forgive Brandi just so they can teach her some things. Love Yolanda but she is always trying to fix those peoples problems. She should just celebrate the fact that she’s normal and stay out of the craziness. However, Lisa is not having it. “She’s your asshole, she’s not mine.” Lisa wants nothing to do with it. She calls her husband, Ken, when she gets back to the hotel and tells him about Brandi. If you remember, Brandi and Ken used to have a wonderful relationship but that has since changed. “Oh God! Get away from her,” he says.
Yolanda decides to visit Brandi’s room and try and talk with her, again. Lecture, not talk. Yolanda is trying to get Brandi to understand that just because you apologize all the time doesn’t mean you can go around hurting people. “At some point you need to take responsibility for your actions. Sorry isn’t good enough at some point,” she tried to explain. Brandi responds by saying she is going to stop trying with the ladies. She even claims the talk with Yolanda is a “mom lecture.” Brandi ditches dinner with the ladies to go on a date with Lisa’s son’s friend. His name is Andre and the two shared a kiss for the cameras.
The dinner without Brandi is seeming to go pretty well. Kim Richards probably hated it because she didn’t have her shadow, Brandi, there with her. Lisa Rinna adds quality to the dinner by discussing vaginas in Thailand that can play ping pong. Yes, this is actually a conversation.
After the break Kyle and Lisa are hanging out and of course Kyle brings up the situation with her sister Kim, again. I love Kyle but the storyline regarding her and her sister has been in place since season 1. We’re nearing the end of season 5 now, it’s time to switch it up. As far as that whole situation is concerned, Lisa Rinna believes Kyle should completely blame Brandi. Lisa says Brandi even told her that Kim needs an intervention but is too fragile to hear the truth, so no one says anything. Also she says that Brandi is “too scared” to talk to Kyle about it. Kyle doesn’t respond too well to hearing this. “So Brandi is telling people that she has the same concerns about my sister that Eileen and Lisa do, but she’s not saying it to my sister’s face?!” Kyle complained. “That is not a good friend. This is exactly the kind of thing I’ve been warning my sister about!” Kyle does invite her sister to she and Mauricio’s new Palm Desert house so they can “reconnect.”
Kim meets up with former cast member, Adrienne Maloof. Love love love Adrienne but Jesus she has had so much surgery done. Her face is noticeably altered. It’s bad. No, Adrienne! The two are talking about, what else, the relationship between Kim and Kyle. Yawn. Adrienne has one bit of advice, sit down and talk it out.
Yolanda wants to meet up with Brandi for another attempt at an intervention. The two go to the spa for facials. Yolanda honestly needs to let it go, once again. She’s going to die trying to help this situation out.
Lisa Vanderpump avoids the drama as she officiates a gay wedding ceremony at her West Hollywood bar, PUMP. How cute. Love Lisa’s support of the LGBT community.
The Richards sisters head out to the Palm Desert for their reconnecting trip. After cooking dinner the two begin arguing about how Kyle treats Kim, and how Kim doesn’t like it. Of course Kim never does anything wrong. Kim thinks it’s Kyle’s fault that Lisa Rinna was asking her all the questions regarding her sobriety, claiming Kyle never defends her and should have.
Kyle argues that all of this started at poker night at Eileen’s house, when Kim was noticeably NOT sober. Kim says that Brandi defended her that night, which Kyle failed to do. That’s when Kyle tells her what Lisa told her. That Brandi is talking about Kim’s sobriety, or lack thereof, to everyone behind her back. And get this, Kim thinks Kyle is lying. Wow.
Kim is seriously disturbed. It is sad. Following another argument about the selling of their mother’s old home, and Kyle has had it. “It bought when you went to rehab we were starting from scratch — why is this happening again?” she said to her sister. Big comment there, Kyle. Wow.
The episode ends with the Richards sisters in the kitchen. Kyle is crying. Kyle closes out the episode with “Kim and I want to have a better relationship, I just don’t know if we’re capable of it.”
We’re tired from all the drama. But who’s excited for next week?
