After being cut by the Detroit Lions, Reggie Bush was on the market looking for work. It appears he may have found some at a place near and dear to his heart.
ESPN's Adam Schefter was the first to report the news - Bush has agreed to a deal with the San Francisco 49ers. The details of the contract have not yet been disclosed, but nothing of earth shattering proportion should be expected.
Bush previously visited the New Orleans Saints earlier in the week, but choose to go with free agent C.J. Spiller instead, via CBS Sports.
The San Francisco agreement means that the 30-year old Bush will once again be playing in California. Of course, it was at USC that Bush claimed such a high status as an NFL prospect.
San Francisco was in desperate need of another running back after veteran Frank Gore took off to join Andrew Luck in Indianapolis. Bush will now join a trio of backs that include Kendall Hunter and Carlos Hyde.
Bush has only topped the 1,000 yard mark twice in his career - once with the Miami Dolphins in 2011 and then again with the Lions in 2013.
