Robert Downey Jr. plays Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and took time off from saving the world to meet a young super fan. Downey met Alex Pring, a young fan with a partially developed arm, with a bionic arm, very similar to the one that Downey wears in the Iron Man suit.
The Wall Street Journal obtained the video interaction between Pring and Downey. Even though Downey was playing the character of Tony Stark for his presentation, Pring was able to tell the difference and called him "Robert."
In conjunction with Limbitless Solutions, a nonprofit that makes prosthetic limbs, they teamed up with Downey to make this young fans dream come true, The Daily Beast added.
During the meeting, Downey encourages Pring to keep working and even jokes about the fact that the light on his own suit went out.
Downey is not the first Marvel Super Hero to have this character cross over into the real world. Chris Pratt and Chris Evans visited sick children at the Seattle's Children hospital, dressed up as Star Lord and Captain America.
