Where does Taylor Swift see herself at 30 years old? Still single!
Swift opened up in an interview with the Telegraph UK discussing how her huge celebrity status might have an impact on her relationship status in her future. “I’ll probably still be single, let’s be honest,” Swift admitted when asked where she sees herself at 30-years-old.
A constant target by paparazzi, she knows it might not be easy finding someone who is comfortable with the lifestyle. “No one’s going to sign up for this and everything that goes with it. Like, “Hi, nice to meet you, want a date? Do you love camera flashes? I hope you do!”
The “Shake It Off” singer who famously dated Harry Styles, Taylor Launter, Joe Jonas, John Mayer, and Jake Gyllenhaal in the past, has a completely different outlook on her dating life these days. She admitted that she doesn’t think finding a boyfriend is important anymore. Due to her failed public relationships, Swift’s dating life has been criticized in the news and even during award shows. Many songs such as “I Knew You Were Trouble” and “Forever and Always” are reportedly about her exes.
Besides being open and discussing her celebrity and relationship status, one topic that Swift refused to discuss was her reported feud with pop-singer Katy Perry. “I’m not giving them anything to write about,” she said. ‘I’m not walking up the street with boys, I’m not stumbling out of clubs drunk. But I’m never going to talk about her in my interview. It’s not going to happen,” she said. Swift once dated Perry’s on-and-off boyfriend John Mayer. She admitted to a Rolling Stones magazine that the song “Bad Blood” off her mega-successful 1989 album is about another female artist who she refers to as “a straight up enemy.” Us Weekly magazine confirmed the song is about Perry.
While she’s not hanging out with her famous girlfriends or planning her upcoming 1989 tour, the singer is giving back to her fans that helped her achieve the huge success she accomplished in the music industry. She gushed about her fans that refer to themselves as "Swifties," calling them "cool" and "smart.“‘
“I want to make the most of this cultural relevance or success or whatever you want to call it, because it’s not going to last,” she said . Within the past year, Swift has sent her fans multiple gifts for the holidays, including handwritten notes and even paid off a fan's student loans. “I have to be as good a person as I can while my name matters to them.”
