A 4-year-old girl battling terminal brain cancer, Jalene Salinas, got her final wish granted thanks to Taylor Swift’s kind heart. The “Style” singer FaceTimed with her and even danced along to one of her songs with her, just as Jalene wanted.
When Swift got wind of the hashtag “#ShakeItOffJalene,” she agreed to make Jalene’s final wish come true – to dance to “Shake It Off” with the pop star.
Jalene’s mom, Jennifer Arriagas, told Kens5 Swift called around 6pm on Monday and they talked for around 20 minutes.
“I'm so sorry you're having a bad night, I'm so happy to talk to you though and I'm so happy you like 'Shake It off,'" Swift told Jalene, who didn’t talk much due to being in pain. "You look beautiful tonight, you really do. You're just as pretty as your pictures."
Of course, it meant the world to San Antonio, Texas native Arriagas. Swift told her she heard about the #ShakeItOffJalene movement while on tour in London.
"You completed her wish list,” she told Swift during the call.
“We can check everything off and as her mom it just, it means the world to me that she got to do and see [everything] and everything is checked off now. It means so much to me that [she] reached out to us," she also said.
