Enzo strolls in as Caroline cleans up the mess she started at the bar. Tracing his cell phone to the bar, Enzo finds out that Caroline attempted to kill Sarah Salvatore unless Stefan turned off his humanity switch.
As Caroline obsessively cleans before her musical audition, Stefan returns home to find Damon waiting on him. When Stefan tries to get ahold of the weapons, Damon fails to stop him.
Stefan demands that his brother stay out of his hair before crushing Damon's hand.
Meanwhile, Jo tends to Sarah, who wakes up in the hospital confused about what had happened. Outside the hospital room, Alaric awaits for his newly engaged pregnant girlfriend. Jo prompts Alaric to deliver a baby name, but Alaric stumbles in thinking of one at the top of his head.
At the Salvatore mansion, Elena finds Damon bashing on things around him. Damon feels tempted to bash the camcorder but hands it to Elena to discover that Damon's mother is alive.
Elena then lights up at the idea that Mama Salvatore could be an emotional trigger for Stefan to come back and in turn also trigger Caroline to return.
Speaking of emotional trigger, Caroline auditions for a musical before the director. When she assumes that she crushed the audition, she looks into the audition to see the direction speechless before his head topples over to reveal Stefan sitting behind him.
Stefan taunts Caroline by telling her that he will undo every move she makes to try to ensure her control freak mistakes are in check. While Caroline wants to appear perfect with her humanity switch off, Stefan feels that Caroline's agenda conflicts with Stefan's potential guilt when he turns his humanity switch back on. Let the games begin.
Damon persuades Bonnie into going back into the past with Kai and Elena to bring back his mother, but the tension is palpable with Bonnie's hatred towards Kai for what he did to her.
Elsewhere, Caroline dismantles Stefan's motorcycle, but Stefan teases Caroline. Is that all you got, Caroline?
And will Bonnie and Kai be able to work together to bring Damon and Stefan's mother back from 1903?
