Jason Derulo first came on the scene back in early 2010 with his single, “Whatcha Say,” which featured a sampling of Imogen Heap. The dance driven single sky rocketed Derulo to fame and he has been making dance and pop hits ever since, most recently with his late single, “Want You To Want Me.” Derulo’s music has taken over the pop charts and his dance moves rivaled that of Chris Brown and Michael Jackson but his career is not without controversy.

Derulo recently went through a public breakup from Jordin Sparks but has admitted that he is ready to start dating again. In a recent interview the Talk Dirty singer explained that it is time to get back on the market. "I want somebody that I can talk to and is kind like me and likes to have fun and try new things," said Derulo.

“Want You To Want Me” is the latest single from Jason Derulo and he debuted it on the popular dating application, Tinder. The song has a very strong influence from that of early Michael Jackson records and shows off his higher vocal range. It has that dance feel and pop melody that has helped Derulo take over the pop charts but lacks a new direction for Derulo personally. It seems as though he could stretch his musical talent beyond this realm and embrace some new influences.

Derulo teamed up with Snoop Dogg for this party anthem, “Wiggle.” The song was released right after the popularity of “Talk Dirty” reached new heights and continued that pop infused with R&B style. “Marry Me” was one of the more romantic songs from Derulo and the music video features no ex-girlfriend Jordin Sparks. This was a glimpse into their relationship as a couple and seemed that the two meshed musically and personally. What was impressive about “Whatcha Say” was that Derulo thought outside of the box, he took a pop song and meshed it with “Hide and Seek” and the result was a more modern pop song. He expressed innovation, creativity and his personality into this song and the result was highly successful.
