Tonight’s episode of The Flash returned from a short hiatus with amazing action and shocking moments that left viewers speechless. From Cisco slowly coming to terms with the idea that Harrison Wells is up to something to Iris and Barry’s feelings becoming more prevalent and noticeable to their significant others, this episode had it all.

First up, Clyde Mardon’s brother, aka The Weather Wizard, makes a return to avenge his death. The cop who killed him is Detective Joe West and he is determined to punish Joe. We got to see in the beginning how Clyde and his brother had gotten caught up in the explosion from the particle accelerator and how it gave both of them the power to control the elements.

Then, Cisco becomes more suspicious of Harrison Wells when he discovers that Iris’ co-worker gave her information on Wells that makes him a suspected in the disappearance of Simon Stagg. He begins looking for information about why the Reverse-Flash was able to escape a trap he had set up weeks earlier and this leads to a shocking revelation.

As this is all happening, Iris comes to terms with her own feelings for Barry after a double date with Barry and Linda leaves Eddie feeling uncomfortable and Linda confronting her about liking Barry herself. During the final moments of the episode, a moment takes place between Barry and Iris that fans have been waiting for.

10. Bowling

The bowling scene between Barry and Linda and Eddie and Iris showcased the close relationship Barry and Iris have for with one another. However, it is easy to see there is a closeness to them and their significant others are not blind. When Iris invites Barry and Linda to join them on their date, it is supposed to be fun, but there are too many emotions that can’t be ignored.

9. Seeing me?

While trying to get to the scene of a crime after his double date, Barry sees his own reflection as he is running. He stops in confusion, unsure of what he saw, before he makes his way to the morgue too late to save the victim. But once the police arrive, they find out the coroner was killed by a man looking for Joe West. The clip below shows Mardon going after the coroner.

8. Raising suspicions

Mason raises Iris’ suspicions about Harrison Wells and tells her that he was seen on surveillance going to see Simon Stagg, who has gone missing. Iris tells Barry about this and in turns, he tells Cisco and Caitlin. They are both confused about it, especially since Wells is in a wheelchair. But as Cisco thinks of something Joe told him, he begins to get suspicious himself and acts on it. Plus, Mason also has some information that he claims will sink Wells. Wonder what it could be?

7. Confrontation

There is a confrontation between Joe and Mardon in the police station. When Mardon uses his powers to send lightning into the station, it ends up hitting the captain and sending him hurling into a wall unconscious. The Flash makes it in time to use a weapon that Cisco developed to absorb the static energy that Mardon is using to control the elements.

6. Hospital visit

Joe and Barry wait in the hospital waiting room with the captain’s fiancé, who is very upset and worried. He tells Barry that the man liked him, much to Barry’s surprise since he is sometimes clumsy. A doctor comes to tell them that there is a chance the captain may be paralyzed. Joe tells Barry to go home and protect Iris.

5. Saving Joe

One of the most amazing scenes of this episode was when Barry got Joe out of his car in time to save their lives. Mardon follows them and sends a bolt of lightning crashing through Joe’s car, but Barry gets them out just before it explodes.

4. Caitlin and Wells

Cisco asks Caitlin to keep Wells busy so he can use the time to figure out what happened the night the containment unit went down even though it shouldn’t have happened. To do this, Caitlin invites Wells to the coffee place, where they sit awkwardly as she tries to keep him there. Eventually, he mentions a way they can stop Mardon and that they should get back to Cisco to let him know. She gets up to get their coffees to go and when she turns around, all she sees is Wells’ empty wheelchair.

3. Cisco’s death

Cisco sees an image of Reverse-Flash and as this happens, he realizes that Wells is Reverse-Flash. He turns around to see his friend and mentor standing and he is in complete shock. Wells tells him who he is, a man named Eobard Thawne, and that he had gone back in time not to kill Nora, but to kill Barry. Realizing what this means, Cisco is in tears as Wells speaks before reaching into his body and stopping his heart. This was a shocking scene Carlos Valdes did a great job playing off the different emotions Cisco was feeling.

2. The kiss and the reveal

Iris and Barry are off to find Joe, who has been taken hostage by Mardon. Iris got a call from him, telling her to get to the waterfront or her father will be killed. Barry and Iris get there and as they see a huge wave coming for the city, Iris and Barry talk about their feelings. Iris reveals she hasn’t been able to stop thinking of him and they share a kiss. After the passionate moment is over, Barry realizes what he has to do and he apologizes for how she is about to find something out. He then turns into the Flash before her eyes and she is stunned speechless.

1. Running back in time

Barry and Caitlin talk on the phone about what Barry should do about the tsnumai that is coming his way. She wants to tell him about Wells, but he can’t do that right now and she tells him he has to run back and forth to try and stop it, but they don’t know how fast he should go. Barry ends up running so fast, he finds himself back in the same moment from after the double date when he was running toward the morgue. Barry has managed to travel back in time. More than likely, he just saved one of his best friend’s life without realizing it. Now what’s going to happen?
