In 2009 a group of unpopular and slushy covered high school students sang “Don’t Stop Believin’” in the William McKinley auditorium and changed television. It was in that magical moment that Glee became a breakout success.
This season of Glee features many of the original glee club members returning to the choir room were everything started, including Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, Naya Rivera and Amber Riley. Even though the show has had it’s highs and lows, this final season is getting back to the roots of the show that made it so popular back in 2009. It’s featuring the original cast, popular songs and all of the glee club drama, fans could ask for. Now the show is showing the cast coming full circle.

These season of Glee has featured three different clubs trying to become the best in Ohio and with Blaine, played by Darren Criss, leading the Warblers, it was going to be an all out competition between them, the New Direction and Vocal Adrenaline. The Warblers came out swinging with this cover of Ed Sheeran’s “Sing.”

The original three cheerios, Quinn, Brittany and Santana, came back together to perform Ariana Grande’s hit “Problem” and the ladies delivered a flawless performance. The ladies were trying to attract more interest in the glee club and it resulted in a fun, dance filled performance.

Glee has always been known for taking current chart topping songs and put their own spin on them, this season featured a cover of “Cool Kids” and it didn’t disappoint.

It didn’t look so good for the current Glee club as they were coming together but they pulled off an unforgettable melody, in honor of Sue Sylvester’s favorite songs, including “Father Figure.” This performance also featured a solo from Roderick, one of the newest glee club members, with the most potential to be a breakout star from this final season.

“Home” was the song that showcased the entire original Glee members coming back together and celebrating the kick off of the season. It was fun to see everyone back together and putting their Glee spin on a popular hit.

This season features the wedding of Santana and Brittany and another Glee couple. As they all walked down the aisle, they were serenaded by Artie and Mercedes performing the Eta James classic, “At Last.” This is not an easy song to pull off, but they both did and brought the emotion to an unforgettable Glee moment.

Lea Michele teamed up with Chad Overstreet for their duet of “A Thousand Miles.” Their vocal ranges complimented each other in a way that was surprising and remarkable. The two had musical chemistry and this became another memorable Glee duet.

The current glee club took on the current chart topping single “Take Me To Church” for their sectional performance and they made the song sound new and fresh. It is fun to see the current glee club come into their own, with the help of the original glee club members. Everything is coming full circle in a way that results in these enchanted music moments.

When Glee returned for it’s final season, Lea Michele took on one of the most popular songs at the time, “Let It Go” from Frozen and she delivered with her performance. This set the tone for the rest of the season, Glee was going back to McKinley and was getting back to those magical moments that leave everyone speechless.

The final season of Glee had one of the most powerful and inspiring moments when former Glee club member Unique returned with an entire choir made up of transgendered individuals. Coach Beiste, has returned to school following her transgendered reassignment and is welcomed with this incredible and emotional performance of “I Know Where I’ve Been” from Hairspray by Unique and the entire choir. It was moments like this and a show that wasn’t afraid to tackle topics that seemed to uncomfortable for TV, that has made Glee what is it today.
