Will Ferrell can be one of the funniest men in Hollywood, but he's not bulletproof when it comes to making duds. While one of Saturday Night Live's funniest members, his film record is fairly hit-and-miss, with as many clunkers as hits.
For every Anchorman or Elf or even Stranger Than Fiction, there's a crummy movie around the corner to remind fans they should probably appreciate their favorite Ferrell movies a little more than they already do. With reviews from Ferrell's latest comedy, Get Hard, coming out for its release today, it looks like he may have another gutter ball in his hands. Oh well, like we said, not every comedy can bring the laughs.
In light of these less-than-stellar reviews, let's look back at some other, less-than-favorable Ferrell flicks which didn't quite earn the love and respect his better films got. Keep in mind, these are all personal taste, so if you see a movie here which you like, don't take it personally. Comedy is subjective.
Also, one can't see every movie in the world, so if you don't see Drowning Mona, Boat Trip, Dick, The Suburbans, The Thin Pink Line, Man Seeking Woman, The Ladies Man and the aforementioned Get Hard on this list, it's because this writer didn't ever find time in his schedule to check them out.
