Teresa Giudice’s role on Real Housewives of New Jersey may have been replaced.

According to the New York Daily News, Bravo planned to put the show’s production on hold as Giudice completes her 15-month sentence for fraud. However, now, producers are working to shake up last season’s cast and prepare whether Giudice films after prison or not. Who is Giudice’s rumored replacement? That would be wife of Tiki Barber, Traci Lynn Johnson.

“They don’t know where it stands with Teresa doing the show or not doing the show or when she’s getting out,” said an insider. “So they’re prepping for either way. Anyway, they need to shake up the cast — last season’s cast was terrible.”

Last season saw the departure of several long-time cast members, such as Jacqueline Laurita, her sister-in-law, Caroline Manzo and Giudice’s cousin, Kathy Wakile. Rumors have surfaced that the ladies, minus Caroline, will be returning for appearances on the show’s next season. Manzo is likely not returning due to the success of her spinoff, Manzo’d With Children .

Following a week of bad press surrounding her marriage to Joe Giudice, it’s likely that this news will not be good for the Jersey native if she’s somehow able to find out while behind bars. Teresa not being on the show is a good idea. Not because she doesn’t deserve it, but because a season without her will prepare viewers for her massive return next year. Bringing her back after a season without her would bring in astronomical ratings. You think so, Andy Cohen?
