Two more women came forward with allegations against Bill Cosby, claiming that they were raped and drugged by the comedian. The women told their story in a press conference with attorney Gloria Allred in Los Angeles Friday.
The first woman is Sunni Welles, who said that Cosby had assaulted her on two occasions in the mid-1960s, when she was 17, reports CBS Los Angeles. In one incident, she met Cosby at a jazz club. They then met again at The Magic Castle. In both incidents, she claims Cosby put something in her soda and woke up naked in a bed in the same sparse apartment.
“I don't remember leaving the club. I don’t remember driving anywhere else. What I do remember next was waking up naked in a bed alone in a sparsely furnished apartment,” she said, tearing up as she described the first incident. “When I got home I showered and felt as if I had had sex.”
Margie Shapiro, the second woman, claims that she was sexually assaulted at the Playboy Mansion when she was 19 in 1975. Allred had a book of matches that Shapiro wrote the date of her meeting with Cosby on.
The women are among over 30 who have accused Cosby of allegedly raping and drugging them in the past. Cosby has never been charged with a crime and he has denied many of the allegations with statements from his attorney and wife. He has continued to perform, despite the cloud of controversy.
