Last night brought out the best of the best in the current Voice competition. The top eight performed and almost all of the Voice coaches returned to help coach the contestants. Adam Levine teamed up with Usher to help his contestants’ advance, while Blake Shelton recruited Cee Lo Green. Gwen Stefani pulled double time working with Team Christina and Team Pharrell.
Early on in the results show it was announced that Joshua Davis from Team Adam would be advancing to the next round because of America’s vote from last night.
Before the results continued, fresh off her tour with Maroon 5, Rozzi Crane performed her latest single, “Psycho.” She has a unique rock/pop style that grabs the attention of the listening audience quickly. Her performance was fun, upbeat and catchy.
After Crane concluded it was announced that from Team Pharrell Sawyer Fredricks would be advancing to the next round of competition. Also saved was Meghan Linsey from Team Blake.
The musical guests continued with country star, Lee Brice who performed his latest hit single, “Drinking Class” with a little help from Team Blake member Corey Kent White.
The final contestants took center stage to find out the results. Also advancing to the next round was Kimberly Nichole from Team Christina and Koryn Hawthorne from Team Pharrell.
Now the last three contestants, Corey Kent White, Hannah Kirby and India Carney and would have to sing for their survival. Kirby took the stage first and put her all into a performance of “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons. Team Blake’s final country artist, Corey Kent White sang “Love Somebody” originally performed by Keith Urban for his final performance. The last artist to sing was India Carney, who sang “Human” by Christina Perri. With the closest vote in Voice save history, Carney advanced to the top six.
The top six will be performing next week on Monday on NBC.
