Mob Wives star Big Ang is responding to rumors she was hospitalized for a lemon-sized tumor in her throat, saying she was never in the hospital but doctors did find a nodule and she will be undergoing surgery to get it removed this coming week.
As we previously reported, reports surfaced this week that the reality television personality was complaining of pain in her neck, so she got it checked out and the tumor was found.
Her sister, Janine Detore, has since told TMZ the tumor is cancerous, but Big Ang didn’t mention that in her Facebook post to fans.
She started off by apologizing that the media leaked the story without having a chance to tell her fans herself.
“I went in for a test due to the nodule in my throat. I had a nerve wracking couple of days, as would anyone when you hear testing etc,” she wrote. “However, I am home peaceful and relaxing. This coming week I will be taking proper precautions and having it removed.”
She continued to say she feels “fortunate” that she detected the tumor early. “Big Ang isn't going anywhere! This is a minor setback, but I promise you this... I already have some BIG things in the world and will be returning to your TVs very soon,” she added.
