Despite Bobby Brown’s claims that his daughter Bobbi Kristina had woken from her coma, Bobbi’s grandmother, Cissy Houston, gives a much more solemn update.
Bobby Brown created a lot of confusion surrounding his only daughter with the late Whitney Houston when he said during a concert she was “awake” and “watching me" over the weekend.
He was forced to clarify his comments through a lawyer that her condition hasn’t changed. His wife, Alicia Etheredge-Brown, said he was in an “emotional state” when he was talking to the crowd.
Houston now tells People Bobbi Kristina has “irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive” though she is “no longer in a medically induced coma.” The latter statement is likely what Brown was referring to, which started the confusion in the first place.
“Meeting with the doctors and understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens me,” Houston continued.
