Despite reports that Bobbi Kristina Brown’s family was prepared for the worst, her father, Bobby Brown, told a crowd Saturday night that she is “awake.”
During a performance at the Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie, Texas, Brown told the crowd, “Bobbi is awake. She’s watching me.” TMZ obtained video of Brown’s comments.
It’s not clear if Brown meant that Bobbi Kristina is really awake or if he meant that she is watching over him in a spiritual sense. The New York Daily News notes that his lawyer has not commented and a woman who answered his wife’s phone hung up.
“As far as I know, there's been no change,” a source told People Sunday. “We're still hoping and praying that God will perform a miracle. We are leaving it in God's hands.”
Bobbi Kristina was found unresponsive in her bathtub on Jan. 31 and has been in a medically induced coma since. While he had been at her side, Brown left Georgia earlier this month for tour dates.
Back on March 25, Bobbi Kristina’s grandmother, Cissy Houston, said that there had been no change in her condition. “We've moved her to a place for rehabilitation. And you know, still not a great deal of hope. [We're] still praying,” she said during a radio interview.
