Chris Wallace of Fox News Sunday has offered an apology to Kelly Clarkson.

We reported yesterday that Wallace made terrible comments about the American Idol winner’s weight following the birth of her baby girl, River Rose, nine months ago. Wallace was joined with Mike Gallagher in the sharing of the offensive comments, where they mocked Clarkson by saying she “could stay off the deep dish pizza for a little while.”

Following copious amounts of backlash, Wallace has publicly reached out to the Texas-born singer with an apology, saying, "I sincerely apologize to Kelly Clarkson for my offensive comment.”

The Fox host spoke with E! News over the situation, and continued his apology by saying he is a fan of Clarkson’s “remarkable talent” and that her body weight should not have “been the focus of any discussion about her.”

While his apology is valid and the points he made are correct, it doesn’t take away from the fact that he made the terrible comments about her weight even though she had a child less than a year ago.

The Heartbreak Song singer has not made any response on their remarks, but is known to simply shake off any criticism from haters. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time this year Clarkson has been at the center of body shaming. Katie Hopkins, a British television personality, criticized the new mother for quite some time over her weight. Not nice, people.

Atleast Queen Kelly isn’t bothered by the negative comments. Keep on doing your thing!
