Two months after disappointing everyone with few changes to the helmet and logo, the Cleveland Browns finally unveiled their new uniforms for the 2015 season. For a team so steeped in tradition, the Nike uniforms feature several major changes to the designs.

The most obvious is the giant “Cleveland” text above the numbers on the front of the jerseys. While other NFL teams do have their names just below the collar, this is the first time an NFL team is putting the city name in such large print. It’s almost like the Browns are worried we might forget where they are from.

The numbers also feature a shadow effect. On the solid brown shirt, the numbers have a white shadow outline, while they have a black outline on the white jersey and the new alternate solid orange jersey.

All three jerseys also have Dawg Pound printed on the inside of the back collar. That’s in reference to the name of the team’s fan base.

The pants might be the biggest change of all though. All three pants feature “Browns” written in huge letters along the side of the legs. The strips along the shoulders were also widened and there are now only three stripes there. There are also orange socks available for the white jersey.

Nike and the team say that there are up to nine different uniform combinations, as the team could chose to mix and match the pants and jerseys.

Now if only these new uniforms help the Browns suddenly play better on the field.
