Florence + the Machine's Florence Welch broke her foot during Coachella set

Florence Welch from Florence + the Machine has revealed she broke her foot during her band’s Coachella performance this past weekend.

On their Facebook page, Welch apologized for having to tone back future shows due to the injury.

"I'm so sorry to say, that after what was one of my favourite shows ever at Coachella, I have discovered I have broken my foot from leaping off the stage. Unfortunately while this heals, my performances will have to be somewhat stripped back,” she wrote.

E! Online reports Welch went on to write she’s “pretty devastated” over it but wants to continue to perform for her fans. She promised to try and compensate for it and make it “super special for you."

Welch concluded by saying she should be better just in time for the Glastonbury Festival in June.
