Giuliana Rancic has revealed some heartbreaking news about her struggle to conceive another child after the birth of her 2 year old son, Duke, with husband Bill Rancic.
The E! News co-host has told People their surrogate miscarried their last embryo.
“It was painful. We were so optimistic with this last embryo,” she explained. “We thought, ‘This is definitely going to work. This is our last shot.’ ”
Last year, the same surrogate who carried Duke miscarried after two of their three remaining embryos were implanted.
This last miscarriage, however, was “the toughest blow,” Rancic admitted.
Rancic has a memoir called Going Off Script coming out on April 7, where she talks about this process.
The television personality, who has also been battling criticism over her tiny frame, also said they’re “open” to adoption.
“We’re open to everything,” she said. One option that’s out is conceiving a baby naturally, since Rancic is on medication for cancer that prevents her from getting pregnant.
