Giuliana Rancic is clearing up the the Fashion Police controversy surrounding her comments on Zendaya’s hair while on the Today Show.

There to promote her book Going Off Script, Rancic once again said her joke was not about race, but rather the “hippie” and “bohemian culture.”

She again blamed the backlash on the “editing process,” saying the producers cut out important parts of the joke, like her putting up “peace signs” twice and repeating the word bohemian a few times, Today.com reports.

"I find racism reprehensible. I don't tolerate it at all. Nor have I ever. And I think that's really important for me to get that out there, because that's been the hardest part of this, that someone could believe that I actually would have racial undertones in the things I do,” she explained, adding she does understand why people took it out of context.

She has revealed she has even received death threats over it.

The show is taking a hiatus until the fall and it will return without Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin, and maybe even Rancic. When asked if she will return she said, "We'll see."

Rancic also discussed the topic of her weight, which she has revealed is due to the medication she's on for cancer.

"It was something that I didn't ever feel the need to talk about. I feel that weight is very personal. Whether you're underweight, overweight, whatever, it's your business. But it became distracting," she said.
