Veteran fullback John Kuhn re-signed with the Green Bay Packers on Monday.
Last year Kuhn signed a one-year, $1 million contract to stay with the Packers. The new deal is for one year and is worth $870,000, which is the veteran minimum, according to NFL.com. The deal does include a workout bonus and a Pro Bowl bonus. Kuhn could get a $25,000 workout bonus, and will get another $25,000 bonus if he makes the Pro Bowl.
"He's back where he belongs, where he's happy," Kuhn’s agent Kevin Gold said.
Kuhn has spent eight of his nine seasons in the NFL with the Packers. In eight seasons with the Packers he has played in 123 games, the most by any offensive player during that time. Last year he rushed for 92 yards and one touchdown, and had six receptions for 33 yards, according to Fox Sports. He was named to the first-team All Pro and made the Pro Bowl for the second time last year. Kuhn has 591 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns and 76 receptions for 516 yards and eight touchdowns in his career.
The Packers also matched the Oakland Raiders offer to restricted free agent safety Sean Richardson on Monday.
