Hilary Duff has returned to the spotlight after a long hiatus following the birth of her son Luca back in March of 2012 and is showing off her newly toned body.

Duff is making her return to TV with her new show Younger and is working on releasing a brand new CD. This will be the first album from Duff in over eight years, Star Pulse reported.

The star, who is best known for her role in Disney's Lizzie McGuire spoke to Shape magazine and explained that she is in great shape and ready to move forward with her career as both an actress and a singer. "I had to be careful not to screw up in public as a child actor," Duff explained. "So on my new show, 'Younger' ... it's really fun for me to play Kelsey, a 27-year-old book editor whose personal life is a hot mess. She always chooses the wrong guy, drinks way too much, and has to cover for herself the next morning."

The actress and musician looked very well toned on the cover of Shape and explained that she changes up her workout at the gym and is just trying to embrace who she is.
