Jerry O’Connell finally had a chance to respond to Giuliana Rancic’s claim that he cheated on her while they were still dating.
In her new book, Going Off Script, the E! News anchor claimed that O’Connell cheated on her with Spice Girls singer Geri Halliwell and Rebecca Romijn, who is now the actor’s wife. Rancic and O’Connell dated in 2003-2004.
During last night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live on Bravo, Andy Cohen brought up the subject, noting that many fans had asked about it on Twitter. O’Connell refused to say anything negative about Rancic.
“We dated, and then we didn't date, and I was in the book,” O’Connell said, notes E! News. “I didn't think that much of it. She's a very nice girl.”
“Did she sell down the river a little bit?” Cohen asked.
“I don't want to say anything negative. She's a very nice girl. We had a very fun time. It was decades ago,” O’Connell said. “I don't believe cell phones were used then. It was like horse and buggy! It was a while ago. She's a very nice girl.”
Romijn and O’Connell have been married since 2007 and have twin daughters. Rancic married Bill Rancic in 2007.
O’Connell is best known for roles in Stand By Me, Sliders and Jerry Maguire. He’s had bad luck on TV lately, starring in short-lived shows like We Are Men and The Defenders.
