Jill Duggar and her husband Derick Dillard are now parents after the 19 Kids and Counting star gave birth to their first child.

According to People, Dillard gave birth to the couple’s son, who they named Israel David, on Monday. The baby arrived late Monday night, just eleven minutes before midnight. He weighed 9 pounds, 10 ounces.

Before the baby’s birth, Jill had anticipated her baby would come late, since she knew that “first-time moms often go a week and a half over.” She had made two due dates, one on March 24 and another for April 5.

TLC is reportedly planning on airing the baby’s birth on May 5. The Dillards had announced their pregnancy only two months after getting married.

E! News reported that the father-to-be had made a post on their blog that Jill beginning to have contractions and he was eagerly anticipating meeting his son.

While the baby has only just been born, Jill once revealed she is opening to having “as many children as God will give us.”
