Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen weren’t the only targets of John Stamos’ wrath. The Full House star also laughed off Lifetime’s plans for an unauthorized behind-the-scenes movie.
News of the Unauthorized Full House Story first came out on Monday night, although Lifetime hasn’t officially announced it yet. The project will be written by Ron McGee, who was also behind the network’s The Unauthorized Saved By The Bell Story.
Unlike the Saved by the Bell movie, the Full House one doesn’t appear to be based on a book, so it’s not clear where Lifetime and McGee are getting their stories. It will apparently be about the challenges the stars faced as they balanced life with the show’s success.
Stamos appears to think that the idea is a complete joke. “Full House TV movie on @lifetimetv ?? - hmmmm -yeah right, good luck with that,” he wrote.
As previously reported, Stamos also called out the Olsen twins on Twitter, calling their story about not being approached for Fuller House “bulls**t.”
Stamos has been at driving the Full House nostalgia train for months and officially announced that Netflix will post Fuller House next year. Candace Cameron Bure will reprise her role as D.J. Tanner from the original ‘90s series.
Lifetime hasn’t said when The Unauthorized Full House Story will air and casting hasn’t started yet.
