Kanye West seems to have had a change of heart when it comes to promoting his friend Jay Z’s music service Tidal.
West attended Tidal’s launch recently, along with Beyonce, Madonna, Rihanna, Daft Punk and more, but confused fans when he removed any references to it from his Twitter page last week.
On Wednesday, he was back to promoting it again with a tweet linking to the Tidal website. “The love of music is louder than words. http://TIDAL.COM ,” he wrote.
West had the Tidal logo as his Twitter avatar at one point and when he deleted all other references to it, he changed that too.
Tidal was released to some controversy and it’s now dropped out of iTunes’s top 700 most downloads chart this week.
In a statement the service promises it “combines the best High Fidelity sound quality, High Definition music videos and expertly Curated Editorial.” Tidal is offering consumers try it for 30 days free, then pay $9.99/month to continue using it.
