Kendall Jenner might’ve used her fame from Keeping Up with the Kardashians to launch a highly successful modeling career, but she knows it isn’t a normal path for a teenager.
The reality star, 19, talked to GQ about life as a reality star, calling it “really weird” but “normal” to her simply because she can’t remember life without the cameras.
“I understand that it's not normal. But it is normal,” she explained. “Me and my little sister [Kylie Jenner] were placed in it. Like, 'Okay, there's gonna be a TV show around.' We didn't have a say. And how could we have a say? It was in our home. There was no way we couldn't be on it."
She went on to talk about her modeling career, denying she models to “prove something” to other people or separate herself from her family.
"This is a career that I've always wanted,” she said, adding she intentionally wanted to keep her modeling career off Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
Jenner is the face of Estee Lauder as well as Calvin Klein's denim series.
