Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have responded to the confirmation that Netflix will be airing a Full House sequel called Fuller House.
John Stamos, who played Uncle Jesse on the show, confirmed they got picked up for 12 episodes while on Jimmy Kimmel Live earlier this week. Of course, we all want to know who has decided to sign on for the show, which will center on Candace Cameron Bure’s D.J. Tanner character.
The Olsen twins told Women’s Wear Daily that they haven’t made any decision just yet.
"We just found out about it today. I guess we're going to talk to the creators and see what's happening,” Mary-Kate said. Ashely added, “I ran into Bob [Saget] the other day and we didn’t even talk about it I'm going to call [Saget] and get his perspective."
We know Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler), and Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner) have signed on, because they’re a big part of the show.
“The premise is that D.J. — she was married, she's widowed now — but she has two boys that are 12 and 7. She's pregnant with her third [and] her husband passed away, just like the original show — the mom passed away,” Bure told Us Weekly. “So she needs help so she asks her sister and her best friend, Kimmy and Stephanie, to come help her raise her boys."
Fuller House will premiere sometime next year. The Olsen twins haven't acted since 2011, instead focusing on their fashion line The Row.
