Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones hit a rough patch in their marriage in 2013, but the actor says they are now back together and doing great.

Back when they announced their separation, their publicist said they were “taking some time apart to evaluate and work on their marriage,” and they have succeeded at doing that.

In April 2014, they made their first red carpet appearance since reconciling. They will now celebrate their 15th anniversary together later this year.

When Douglas appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in an episode that will air Thursday, she commended him for making it work with his wife.

He told her it’s only possible “if both of you are willing to do it. It can't be a one-way street.”

He added, “I'm crazy about her...I think every couple has their difficult times,” making it clear, “But we're back, stronger than ever."

Douglas, 70, and Zeta-Jones have two kids; Carys and Dylan.
