Mischa Barton is suing her mother, Nuala Barton, claiming breach of oral contract, fraudulent misrepresentation and more.
The former O.C. star claims her mom, who was her manager, pocketed the money she earned from an acting gig. She filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court.
TMZ reports she also claims her mom kicked her out of her own Beverly Hills, Calif. home and lied on the paperwork to say she was co-owner.
Barton claims her mom lied to her about the amount of money she made for the film The Hoarder and took the difference for herself in addition to her management fee. In the lawsuit, Barton called her mother a "greedy stage mother posing as a talent manager.”
She would also control her finances and give her an "‘allowance..on at her sole discretion and on a sporadic basis."
Furthermore, Nuala opened a boutique in London called the Mischa Barton fashion boutique and didn’t give her daughter a penny despite using her name to sell merchandise.
E! Online reports Barton also claimed in the lawsuit that Nuala took her “daughter's hard-earned money by purportedly acting as her talent manger,” calling herself an “unsuspecting victim."
