Frank Underwood will get to keep talking to the camera. Netflix announced late Thursday that House of Cards has been renewed for a fourth season.
Netflix shared the news on Twitter and Facebook, promising fans that the show will be back in 2016.
House of Cards’ third season debuted in February, although it was a surprisingly rough launch. The streaming service http://thecelebritycafe.com/feature/2015/02/isnt-drill-time-house-cards-returns-season-3>accidentally posted the entire season early. It wasn’t up for long though and was pulled 20 minutes later.
The show stars Kevin Spacey as conniving politician Frank Underwood and Robin Wright as his wife, Claire. Michael Kelley has also been in nearly every episode, playing Chief of Staff Doug Stamper.
House of Cards has earned critical acclaim during its run, racking up both Emmys and Golden Globe wins. Spacey won a Golden Globe this year, while Wright took home one last year. It has also won four Emmys, although it has noticeably lost in the major categories. Spacey still hasn’t won one for the show. Maybe this year will be his year.
