Star cornerback Darelle Revis is a hot commodity. The New York Jets wanted him back before he even hit the free agency market this offseason, and they made it known to the world.

In December, prior to the end of the regular season, Jets’ owner Woody Johnson said he would "love to have Darrelle back." The NFL fined the team $100,000 for tampering because Revis was a member of the New England Patriots at the time, according to ESPN.
The punishment does not cost the Jets any draft picks, reports The Associated Press.
The Jets would end up resigning Revis to a five-year, $70-million contract this offseason.
This signing caused Patriots owner Robert Kraft to state that he wished Revis was still with New England. The Jets responded by filing tampering charges, but the NFL will not punish the Patriots.
Revis tried to avoid the situation when asked about it by the media Tuesday.
"I really have no comment," he said at the Jets' voluntary offseason workout. "I know my name was involved in the tampering situations, but that's not in my control. Nothing I can do."
