Can you believe it? The NFL Draft is now less than 24-hours away. Still, though, we have no resolution about where 2014 Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota will end up.
It now seems as if the Cleveland Browns are making a push for the former Oregon quarterback.
According to ESPN's Pat McManamon, via SportsCenter, the Browns have offered their two first-round draft picks (No. 12 and 19), to the Tennessee Titans for the No. 2 overall selection. They would of course select Mariota with the pick.
However, McManamon's full report reveals that somebody close to the Titans has stated that Cleveland has not officially made this offer.
"A source with the Titans told Paul Kuharsky of ESPN.com that the Browns had not made an offer for the No. 2 overall pick, and another source close to the Browns said there have been no substantive talks with the Titans and that these discussions commonly take place as the draft approaches."
Believe what you want to, but at this point it's anybody's best guess.
The general concensus remains that those two first-rounders wouldn't be enough for the No. 2 slot.
In fact, John Middlekauff of 95.7 The Game is letting the world know that the Titans are looking for more. Much more in fact - both of Cleveland's first-round picks, a second-round pick this year, and a first-rounder in next year's draft.
Buckle in for the wild ride known as the NFL Draft. It kicks off Thursday night in Chicago.
