Norman Reedus and director Guillermo Del Toro have been working on a brand new video game Silent Hills but the game has been scrapped by Konami.
The Wrap reported that Reedus took to his Twitter account to announce the news and said that it is a major bummer, but he hopes the project will come back around.
The video game already had a teaser trailer which was released last August and fans could take part in a playable teaser that was available for download within the Playstation system. That teaser will expire at the end of April.
Excitment for the game only increased when Del Toro came on board during development but the Pacific Rim director explained, during a panel at the San Francisco International Film Festival, that the game would not be released, Game Sided noted. "It’s not gonna happen and that breaks my greasy heart," explained Del Toro.
Konami the company behind the game released a statement saying that they would continue to develop the ‘Silent Hill’ series" but not this version.
