Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers won’t have to test his throwing ability this spring, but he will have to test his knowledge of the obscure. He will appear on a real edition of Celebrity Jeopardy!.
The news was revealed by Kevin O’Leary of ABC’s Shark Tank. He tweeted a selfie with Rodgers, Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek and retired astronaut Mark Kelly, notes ESPN. (We do have to wonder how this will affect Kelly’s “Twin Study” with NASA.)
O’Leary wrote that the episode will air on May 12.
Rodgers has spent his entire career with the Packers, winning Super Bowl XLIV in 2011. Last season, the team was 12-4 and did make it the NFC Championship game, but lost to the Seattle Seahawks in overtime. Hopefully for Rodgers, the team can bounce back in 2015.
Rodgers will at least be on real Celebrity Jeopardy! instead of the Saturday Night Live version. He probably wouldn’t do very well against Sean Connery.
