Bodyguard Lenoard Taylor is filing a lawsuit against his former employer, club owner Barry Mullineaux, claiming that Mullineaux forced him to buy cocaine for celebrity guests.
Taylor, who worked for Mullineaux between 2006 and 2010, filed a lawsuit in the New York Supreme Court for $1 million in emotional abuse, Page Six reports.
“Mr. Mullineaux would get the money from the cash register. I would have to buy drugs for such celebrities as Barron Hilton, John Mayer, Chris Evans, Ms. [sic] America Tara Conner,” Taylor says in the lawsuit.
Taylor, who is now unemployed and without a lawyer, says Mullineaux is known to scam backers out of hundreds of thousands of dollars and that he has a tape of Mullineaux paying him in fake money.
Taylor claims that it was Mullineaux’s constant defamation of character that played a part in him losing work. Mullineaux reportedly told celebrity friends, other club owners and security companies not to hire Taylor because of drug use and other criminal behavior, Page Six notes.
Mullineaux has since commented saying everything is false and that Taylor, who previously filed a $2 million civil lawsuit against Mark Wahlberg and later dropped it, is stalking him.
“Every time he shows up he says, give me $10, give me $20, give a me a job or I’m doing this, for three years stalking me and threatening me. Nothing he says has any truth or value to it. It’s all lies,” Mullineaux said.
A representative for John Mayer has also denied the claims and threatened to take legal action against the bodyguard, SFGate reports.
“It’s completely untrue. It’s a flat-out lie. I’m certain Mr. Mayer’s attorneys will become involved,” the representative told Page Six.
