Robert Downey Jr. opened up on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM radio show about walking out on the interviewer who was asking him personal questions about his past while he was there to promote Avengers: Age of Ultron recently.

Downey walked out when Krishnan Guru-Murthy started bringing up “dark periods” in his life and he told Stern his only regret is not walking out “sooner.”

The actor called Guru-Murthy a “bottom-feeding muckraker” and recalled him pulling the “same garbage” with Quentin Tarantino in the past, ETOnline reports.

"What I have to do in the future is give myself permission to say, 'That is more than likely a syphilitic parasite, and I need to distance myself from this clown,’” he continued. "Otherwise, I’m probably going to put hands on somebody, and then there’s a real story."

He said of Tarantino’s way to silence him that he “stayed in his chair and lit him up for five minutes."
