Although Russell Crowe is an Oscar winning actor and director, his personal life has been filled with trials and tribulations.

Star Pulse reported that Crowe separated from his wife Danielle Spencer back in 2012 after nine years of marriage, but Crowe has no plans to officially file for divorce.

During an interview on This Morning, Crowe talked to co-host Charlie Rose about his relationship with Spencer. "I was so proud to wear that ring, Charlie. I don't feel balanced... And every now and then, I'll (touch) my (ring) finger, it's not there anymore." He went on to say, "To this day everything I do is still connected to that (his marriage)... We haven't done the deal (divorced) yet. I'm a very persistent person, so you never know... I didn't get married to get divorced."

Crowe is known for his acting career but now he is turning his attention towards directing. Crowe is directing The Water Diviner, the movie tells the story about an Australian man who is searching for his missing sons in Turkey. The movie arrived in movie theaters in the U.S. over the weekend, USA Today reported.
