Ryan Reynolds was involved in a hit-and-run car crash on Friday in Vancouver, Canada, where he’s filming Deadpool.
Reynolds wasn’t in a car at the time of the crash, he was actually walking in a parking garage when he was struck by a paparazzo.
He was hit while walking in the underground garage at the Shangri-la hotel. His publicist, Leslie Sloane, told CBC News, “The man fled the scene. Ryan is okay."
Vancouver police Const. Brian Montague also told CTV News the incident was “minor” and there were “no injuries” but they did investigate it. He also said they "have an idea" who the driver was.
When a CBC reporter asked Reynolds on Twitter to call in and give an update on how he’s feeling he joked he would only call if they put Beachcombers back on the air, a show that ended in 1990.
Reynods’ wife, Blake Lively, was not in town with him when the hit-and-run occurred. She was in Los Angeles this weekend to promote her newest film The Age of Adaline. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named James, in January.
