Stacey Dash is getting some backlash for comments she made on The Meredith Viera Show about gender equality, specifically in the workplace.

Dash, who is no stranger to controversy, suggested women need to just “work harder” to get wage equality. She joined Fox News as a contributor in May.

“It's the same thing with race, it's an excuse," she said about the fight for wage equality. "Stop making excuses. If there are opportunities seize them and be prepared for them and be the best if that's what it takes. If you have to be extraordinary then be extraordinary."

Vieira reminded Dash of the statistics, telling her women make 78 cents for every dollar a man will make. But Dash wasn’t hearing it, saying she wouldn’t be part of the group of women who are “complaining” about it and acting as “victims.”

“There is a law passed that we get equal pay,” Dash, said to which Vieira responded, "Except we don't. We don't. We don't."
