Teresa and Joe Giudice are both opening up about Teresa’s time in jail so far at Connecticut’s Danbury prison.

The family even released the first photo of Teresa, sporting a shorter and more natural hairstyle than fans are used to seeing on The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

The Giudices, minus two daughters, appear on the cover of Us Weekly this week, with Joe telling the magazine they visit her every weekend. "I cry more than the girls," he said of leaving those visits. "I pretty much cry every time I leave. Like a little baby."

Joe brings their four daughters; Gia, 14, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 9, and Audriana, 5 as well as Teresa’s mother to Danbury. Audriana thinks her mom has been “working” this whole time.

Through her lawyer, Teresa said, "I miss Joe and my girls terribly.”

Joe also spoke with Extra about his wife’s jail stint, saying she has made some friends.

“She's got a little group she hangs out with and does her thing with every day, and who she goes to the gym with and who she hangs out with, and who does her hair and who does her nails… they have their little thing going every day,” he explained.

He also revealed they’re not planning on returning to RHONJ, unless the dollar amount they offer was “very big.”

Teresa surrendered to jail on Jan. 5 and she will likely serve 13 months out of her 15-month sentence.
