For Thabo Sefolosha, of the Atlanta Hawks, a visit to New York’s 1OAK nightclub ended pretty horribly last week. He witnessed the stabbing of Chris Copeland (of the Indiana Pacers), had a run-in with the cops and suffered a season-ending injury.

Sefolosha suffered a fracture in his right fibula as well as damage to some ligaments. Reports indicate that the injuries are results of the police attempting to arrest him.
The 30-year-old was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, which are misdemeanors. Teammate Pero Antic was also arrested due to his involvement in the incident.
Sefolosha is looking to sue the New York Police Department because their actions resulted in injuries that force him to miss playing time, reports ESPN.
“It's very painful and I will have surgery within the next few days and know a little more on the basketball stuff when I will be able to come back after that,” Sefolosha said, according to FOX Sports.
"I'm disappointed that I will miss the playoffs and I hate this feeling that I let my team down. But at the same time -- I can't speak too much on it -- but I just hate the bad look that it gives on the team. It's just unfortunate, really, the whole situation. I just don't want it to be too much of a distraction on my teammates and on the team."
The Hawks are 61-20 with one game remaining in the regular season and will be the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference.
