The final 12 vocalists on The Voice all gathered together tonight to find out who had earned a spot in the top 10. Team Adam, Christina, Pharrell and Blake all faced off for a spot in the top 10 and the performances were incredible.
Before the results could be announced Nick Jonas returned to the Voice stage to perform his latest hit, “Chains.”
It was also announced that next week each coach would be bringing in a producer to work with their team. Team Christina will be working with Mark Ronson, who worked on her Back to Basic album and is the mastermind behind “Uptown Funk.” Team Pharrell will be working with One Republic front man and hit maker Ryan Tedder. Working with Adam would be David Stewart and Shelton teamed up with his longtime producer Scott Hendrick.
After Jonas took over the stage complete with backup dancers and riot gear, the first three artists who would advance were announced. The first to advance was Kimberly Nicole from Team Christina. Next was Sawyer Fredricks from Team Pharrell and from Team Blake was Meghan Linsey.
For the first time this season Team Blake performed with his team and they sang “In the Midnight Hour.”
Next to be saved was Joshua Davis from Team Adam, India Carney from Team Christina and finally, from Team Blake, Hannah Kirby.
Team Christina took the stage before the bottom three were announced, joined by their coach Aguilera to perform “Hotel California.” After that performance, it was announced that Koryn Hawthorne from Team Pharrell would also be advancing. Rob Taylor moved forward from Team Christina, which made all of her team safe, and Corey Kent White, from Team Blake, was also saved.
Mia Z, Brian Johnson and Deanna Johnson were the bottom three. Each vocalist was then able to sing for their life and for a chance to be instantly saved by Twitter.
Mia Z sang “Stormy Sunday” for her last chance performance. Brian Johnson sang “Amazed” by Lonestar. Deanna Johnson took on Bruno Mars’ “It Will Rain.” With the conclusion of those three performances, fans were then able to tweet in who they would like to see advance to the top 10.
In the end, America saved Deanna Johnson from elimination, which sent both Mia Z and Brian Johnson home.
The top 10 will all perform next Monday on NBC.
